Just Cause developer working on new open world title with Square Enix

Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios is working with Square Enix on a new "ground breaking" open-world action game, the developer confirmed.

In an email sent to Eurogamer, the studio stated it was working to develop on numerous current and next-gen console projects scheduled for 2013 and 2014.

Its upcoming open world game is described as "ground breaking" and said to be an "action title" in the message. It is believed the Swedish developer may be working on Just Cause 3.

Avalanche also confirmed it was developing two additional projects based on movie and comic book franchises.
