'DayZ' down after sustained hacker attacks (update)
The zombie mod of ArmA II, DayZ, is currently down due to sustain attacks by hackers on its central database.

Posting on Twitter this evening, the DayZ Development team wrote: "Due to sustained and constant hacking, the central database is being dropped until further notice. You will not be able to connect."

We have reached out to the development team for comment and will update this story as more information becomes available.
UPDATE: The servers are now back up. DayZ's official Twitter account said those identified as hackers have received permanent bans.
