'Doom 3 BFG Edition' coming on October 16
Doom 3 BFG Edition brings the trilogy together in one enhanced package.
Doom 3 BFG Edition, a bundle featuring all three Doom games and Doom 3's Resurrection of Evil pack, will release in North America October 16 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, Bethesda Softworks announced today.
The BFG Edition will include the "The Lost Mission" expansion pack, introducing seven levels of new content. Doom 3 has been optimized in 3D with remastered rendering and lighting, as well as 5.1 surround sound and improvements on the check point save system.
All versions will include a new armor-mounted flashlight - an improvement from the original release in which players could not simultaneously use the flashlight and weapon, making it virtually impossible to fight in the dark.
Doom 3 BFG Edition will run for $29.99 on PC and for $39.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360.
