Zynga announces Matching With Friends, now available on the iTunes App Store.

The latest in social games maker Zynga's With Friends line of games, Matching With Friends, is now live on the iTunes App Store worldwide. The game, launched in select territories earlier this month, brings match-three gameplay to Words With Friends-style multiplayer.

Matching With Friends follows a simple color matching formula – combine three or more colored jellies to score – and adds Scrabble-style multiplier tiles and asynchronous multiplayer with your social circle. Players can purchase new jelly tile sets by spending coins, which can be acquired by completing games of Matching With Friends or through in-app purchases.

Zynga's chief mobile officer David Ko announced the availability of Matching With Friends at the company's Zynga Unleashed event in San Francisco today. The iOS game is now available via Apple's iTunes App Store for $2.99 with a free version of Matching With Friends also available.
