'The Expendables 2 Videogame' muscling its way to PSN, XBLA and PC this summer

The Expendables 2 Videogame is coming to PSN, XBLA and PC this summer.

The Expendables 2 Videogame, a downloadable co-op shooter based on the film franchise bursting with 80s action heroes, is coming to PSN, XBLA and PC this summer, Ubisoft announced today.

The Expendables 2 Videogame will feature characters portrayed in the films by Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Jet Li, who can team up for local and online co-op. The game bridges the gap between the first and second films, concluding "right where the new movie begins, creating a continuous story experience for fans of the Expendables' hard-boiled brand of action."

According to a press release, The Expendables 2 Videogame "invites gamers on an adventure to rescue an extremely valuable, kidnapped billionaire. It's business as usual, until all hell breaks loose and the explosive mix of testosterone and kerosene detonates in a massive fireball that never lets up."

The official website for The Expendables 2 contains a link promising "exclusive details" on the video game, but clicker beware — as of this writing it's a dead end to a Ubisoft press release website.
