Sony announces a release date, new platform and bundle pricing for its PSN musical platformer.

Getting out just before Microsoft's E3 press briefing this morning, Sony announced via the PlayStation Blog that Vita musical platformer Sound Shapes is also coming to PlayStation 3, and both are releasing August 7th on PSN. The two versions will be sold together, so if you buy one for $14.99, you'll get the other for free, similar to an iOS universal download.

Developed by Queasy Games, Sound Shapes is part 2D platformer, part music creation software, with players being able to share save progress, created levels, etc. between the two versions.
