Video: 'Halo 4,' new 'Gears of War,' and more from Microsoft at E3

Microsoft's E3 2012 press event at the Galen Center in Los Angeles was relatively short on surprises, but fortunately (or unfortunately, depending) long on Usher.

Microsoft's E3 2012 press event at the Galen Center in Los Angeles was relatively short on surprises, but fortunately (or unfortunately, depending) long on Usher.

The highlight was new footage from Halo 4, with details about the game's Big Bad and some sexy new combat footage. A new Gears of War was announced, as was a Kinect partnership with Nike. Then Usher took the stage to promote Dance Central, for what The Verge's Ross Miller wishes was the finale to the event.

Miller has the story, direct from the Galen Center.
