The God of War movie that Sony announced in 2005 is still alive, with the screenwriters of the Saw series and Pacific Rim signing up to re-write the unreleased film.
Universal brought on Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to rewrite the film's script. The two are best known for writing the four installments of the Saw horror series and later Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim.
There is no word on when the film is expected to be released, although Sony Computer Entertainment's God of War: Ascension is due in 2013 for PlayStation 3.
