Comic book creator Ape Entertainment has secured licensing deals to adapt Imangi Studios' Temple Run and The Game Bakers' Squids mobile titles into their own comic series.
The Temple Run books will focus on always-running protagonist Guy Dangerous, providing backstory for the thoroughly un-narrative mobile darling. The Squids comics will similarly flesh out the origins of Steev, Vahine and the other main characters of Squids and its recently released sequel, Squids Wild West. Both runs will be available in comic book shops, and in their own standalone iOS apps.
Ape Entertainment has some experience with these sorts of adaptations, having brought Cut the Rope and Pocket God to the illustrated page over the past two years. Both Squids and Temple Run will receive the same treatment sometime over the "next few months."
