Battlefield 3 lead designer David Goldfarb leaves DICE.
David Goldfarb, the lead designer behind Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3, left EA Digital Illusions CE, it was reported by Kotaku.
"It was time to move on for me," Goldfarb stated, regarding his decision to leave the Swedish studio. "Fans have nothing to worry about."
"5 years, 4 games. Grateful to have worked with such awesome people on awesome games. Farewell + Onward," Goldfarb wrote on his Twitter followed by a link to the Missing Person song "Destination Unknown".
The former lead designer is not sure where he will move on to following his employment at EA Digital Illusions CE; however, he previously stated on his blog he is continuing to write a novel in the "Bible punk" or "Old Testament noir" genre.
Battlefield 3 released last year on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
