Ubisoft released the announcement trailer for Spartacus Legends today, a fighting game based on the Starz network Spartacus television drama.

Spartacus is set in ancient Rome and follows the titular gladitor, historically famous for leading a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. The game is a classic beat-'em-up fighter in which players step in the shoes of these ancient gladiators and enter the area into heated combat.

The game is slated to release sometime next year for multiple consoles, though which ones has not been announced yet. The trailer below provides a first glimpse into the brutal and bloody world of Spartacus Legends.
