'Rise of the Guardians' coming to Wii U on November 23rd, hints at console launch window

Has Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game revealed the launch window of the Wii U?

Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game, the adaptation of the upcoming Dreamworks animated film, is confirmed to release on Wii U November 23rd in Europe despite the Wii U itself having no release date as of yet.

D3Publisher, the publisher behind the title, stated the game would also release on the Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on the same date to coincide with the theatrical release of the film on November 30th on this year.

Rise of the Guardians: The Video game lets users play classic childhood legends based on Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Sandman, and Jack Frost. Each player can upgrade their abilities and fight an evil nightmare-inducing spirit in four-player drop-in-and-out multiplayer.

While this date may suggest a clearer time frame for the launch of Nintendo's newest platform, we have contacted the publisher for further confirmation of the release date on the Wii U and will update when new information is made available.

Nintendo previously stated it will confirmed the Wii U's release plans this fall.
