'Neverwinter' E3 demo walkthrough shows action-based combat, class roles

Cryptic Studios releases E3 demo footage for "Neverwinter."

Neverwinter developer Cryptic Studios released a video today detailing the new Dungeons & Dragons MMO's presence at this year's E3.

Producer Andy Velasquez walks viewers through the game's pre-alpha demo, which showcases the game's action-combat oriented gameplay and offers a look at its team-based "dungeon delve" missions. The below footage shows just a small taste of the hacking-and-slashing action of Neverwinter, as well as the promise of details on the MMO's beta coming soon.

Neverwinter is scheduled to release late this year for PC.
