'Skylanders Giants' lands October 21 release
Skylanders Giants is set to release October 21st.
Skylanders Giants, the followup to Activision's action figure/video game mashup Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, is set to release October 21st, according to a report by Yahoo Games.
Yesterday, Activision revealed Swarm, a bee-like giant set to appear in the game. Swarm is but one of eight super-sized characters new to Skylanders Giants. Activision will also be releasing eight new regular-sized Skylanders, and eight LightCore Skylanders whose powers are linked with the Portal of Power peripheral.
Skylanders Giants won't leave fans of the original behind, as it will allow players to use all 24 characters from Spyro's Adventure, each of which will include a new power and increased level cap. The 32 originals will also get new action figures in "Series 2" form.
Skylanders Giants' October 21st release will see it on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, 3DS, PC, and mobile.
