'Need for Speed: Most Wanted' appears to be 'Better With Kinect' on Xbox 360
Kinect support for Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted shown in new video.
The next Need for Speed will use Kinect in some capacity in the Xbox 360 version of the game, according to a new walkthrough video from EA. Need for Speed: Most Wanted's box art bears the "Better With Kinect" label, but does not explain exactly how Microsoft's motion sensor will be implemented.
Developer Criterion Games used Kinect in its most recent title, Burnout Crash!, which featured an optional motion-control mode. Criterion also included camera support in 2008's Burnout Paradise, which used the PlayStation Eye and Xbox Live Vision accessories to snap "mugshots" of players the moment after they were knocked off the road by an opponent.
We've contacted Electronic Arts for clarification on Most Wanted's Kinect options.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted is scheduled to be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 30th.
