The first all-gameplay trailer for Darksiders 2 was released today, with a two minute video showing the game's protagonist, Death, taking on some of the creatures from the game.

The trailer shows several of the game's key characters in action, like Death – one of the horsemen of the apocalypse and the main character in Darksiders 2; Dust – Death's neither living nor dead sidekick bird; Despair – Death's loyal steed, which he will have access to early on in the game; Crowfather – the keeper of secrets and possessor of ancient wisdom and knowledge; and Maker Elder – the slow-moving and slow-speaking Elder.

Darksiders 2 comes to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC on August 14. The game will be released in Australia on August 16.
