'Phantasy Star Online 2' coming to Europe and North America in 2013
"Phantasy Star Online 2" is coming to Europe and North America next year.
Phantasy Star Online 2, the free-to-play sequel to 2000's Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast, will be coming to Europe and North America in early 2013, Sega announced this morning.
The game launched in Japan on July 4th for PC, with iOS and Android versions touted for later this year as well as a Vita version for 2013. Sega's official site currently only lists a downloadable PC version for its Western release and has posted a teaser trailer.
"Phantasy Star Online was a revolutionary game when it was released, and we want to make sure that its successor in the series is every bit as ambitious," said vice president of digital business at SEGA of America Chris Olson in a press release.
