During its Gamescom 2012 press conference, Electronic Arts revealed that a special edition of Battlefield 3, called Battlefield 3 Premium Edition, will be coming to North America on September 11th and to Europe on September 13th for $69.99.

During its Gamescom 2012 press conference, Electronic Arts revealed that a special edition of Battlefield 3, called Battlefield 3 Premium Edition, will be coming to North America on September 11th and to Europe on September 13th for $69.99.

The Premium Edition will include the Battlefield 3 game and a Battlefield Premium subscription (regularly $49.99 alone), which provides access to all five downloadable expansions for the game. It will also offer a "multiplayer Head-Start Kit that is custom-designed to help jump start players who are new to multiplayer by automatically unlocking 15 different weapons, gadgets and vehicle upgrades."

Battlefield 3 Premium Edition will be available on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Players on PS3 will receive one week of early access to the three remaining DLC expansions: "Armored Kill" (September), "Aftermath" (December), and "End Game" (March).
