'World of Battleships' is now 'World of Warships'

"World of Battleships" has been renamed "World of Warships."

World of Battleships, set to release for PC in 2013, is now World of Warships, developer Wargaming.net announced today.

Wargaming says that the name change was to bring the title in line with its other massively multiplayer online games, 2011's World of Tanks and World of Warplanes, currently out only in Russia. The company asserts that content for the free-to-play game has not changed.

Warships gives players control over battleships, aircraft carriers, and other heavyweight naval vessels in tactical naval battles. The title will also allow the sharing of in-game resources across World of Tanks and World of Warplanes.
