Zen Studios released a gameplay trailer for their rhythmic kung-fu game, KickBeat, today after announcing the game back in May.
The trailer shows the game's main character – one of the guardians of music – fighting off enemies using dance moves that coincide with the rhythm of the music.
The developer describes KickBeat as a rhythm game reimagined as a "chop-socky fighting scene with an agile protagonist battling hordes of incoming goons in a circular arena".
Successive hits yield points and bonuses while missing incoming attacks diminishes the player's life meter.
Musicians that have lent their songs to the game include Marilyn Manson, In Flames, Papa Roach, CelloWeller, Rob Zombie and Blue Stahli.
KickBeat will be available for the PlayStation Vita via PSN later this year.
