Natural Selection 2, the upcoming asymmetrical shooter/strategy game hybrid, will feature an "Exosuit" perfectly suited for ripping apart giant alien animals, as showcased in a video released today from developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment.

The video, which was created from in-game footage using Unknown Worlds' Spark Cinematic Editor, highlights several gameplay perspectives, including the Exosuit, first-person combat, and classic real-time strategy combat.

Natural Selection 2's team-based gameplay tasks one player as the Commander, who "directs strategy, drops structures, and chooses tech paths," according to the developer. All other players have the freedom to move around the environment purchasing weapons, selecting their lifeforms, and choosing their upgrade paths.

Pre-ordering the game through the Natural Selection 2 website grants instant beta access until September 4th, when pre-orders become available through Steam. Natural Selection 2 is expected to ship on the service soon thereafter.

You can check out the trailer, which includes as many space monsters as Exosuits, below.
