Open Steamworks lists 'Gotham City Impostors' as free-to-play

Gotham City Impostors – the first-person shooter, multiplayer-only Batman video game – might be going free-to-play, according to a listing on the Open Steamworks Content Description Record Database, which is an unofficial record of every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service.
The listing was last updated earlier today for a file titled "Gotham City Impostors F2P Trailer", with a platinum edition steampunk costume pack also being uploaded in a separate listing. While the listing exists, Open Steamworks is not run by Valve, thus the listing in no way confirms that the game will be going free-to-play.
Gotham City Impostors was first released in February this year on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC where players paid to download the game from Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Games for Windows.
The game is currently available on Steam for $14.99. Warner Bros. declined to comment on the existence of a free-to-play version of the game.
