'Rhythm Hunter HarmoKnight' is the next game from Pokemon developer GameFreak

Pokemon developer GameFreak announced their newest title "Rhythm Hunter HarmoKnight," a rhythm-based game for the Nintendo 3DS.

Pokemon developer GameFreak announced their newest game in today's Nintendo Direct presentation, Rhythm Hunter HarmoKnight.

HarmoKnight is an action platformer with rhythm-based combat. As shown in the video below taken from today's presentation, players collect floating notes to power up and attack enemies while staying in synch with the music. Terrain varies, with the game's tiny samurai flying through levels in a mine cart or surfing. The game will also features musical cameos by select songs from previous Pokemon game soundtracks.

Rhythm Hunter HarmoKnight will be available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan for ¥1,800. We have reached out to Nintendo for comment on an international release.
