'Skylanders Giants' Battle Pack is pre-order exclusive at GameStop

Fans of the Skylanders franchise can now pre-order the Golden Dragonfire Cannon Battle Pack from GameStop to expand the upcoming Skylanders Giants release with new battle arenas and figures, GameStop and Activision announced today.

The limited-edition battle pack will feature the "Golden Cannon," and unlock an exclusive in-game battle arena.

Skylanders Giants, the sequel to Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, will launch October 21st on PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360, and allow users to fight against a new dark threat in the Skylanders universe.

The title will introduce over 40 new collectible figures that are more than twice the size of the original Skylanders cast, in both physical and virtual formats. Skylanders Giants will also feature three difficulty levels and a potential fourth, an unlockable nightmare or legendary mode, an Activision representative told Polygon earlier in June.
