'Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Edition' celebrates 17 years of strategy this fall

Command & Conquer Ultimate Edition compiles all 17 titles in the series in celebration of its anniversary this October.

Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Edition, a compilation of all 17 titles in the series, will release this October in celebration of the 17th anniversary of the long-running strategy gaming franchise, EA announced today.

The enormous $49.99 compilation will feature all three Command & Conquer universes, including the battle between the GDI and Nod in Tiberium, the Cold War in the Red Alert series, and modern warfare in Generals, as well as offer early access to the upcoming beta to 2013's next Command & Conquer title, exclusive commemorate art, and a music compilation of songs throughout the series.

Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Edition will include the following titles:

The Ultimate Edition is available for pre-order. All titles have been updated for Windows 7 and Windows Vista, while the compilation will be available both online and in retail in the United States.
