Uncharted 3's multiplayer patch 1.13 is available today, bringing new trophies, microtransactions, items, and more, according to developer Naughty Dog.
"Since launch, new design ideas and community feedback have been applied to every patch we've released," wrote Eric Monacelli, Naughty Dog's community strategist. "Our newest patch is lucky number 13, and we've planted some fresh ideas deep into the game. Patch 1.13 for Uncharted 3 Multiplayer has been months in the making — it's our biggest patch ever."
Uncharted 3's multiplayer component received over 100 new custom parts, new treasures, 17 new taunts, and 50 new trophies. Players can earn most items by playing the game, but Naughty Dog also added microtransactions allowing players to purchase many of the new items à la carte.
Naughty Dog will also be adding block mesh maps to multiplayer labs, allowing the developer to change and redesign maps periodically. A new Tournament Mode allows players to enter weekly online tournaments, where players can earn in-game prizes based on their performance. Everybody gets 10 tournament tickets per week, but more will be available for purchase in the PlayStation Store.
The update also includes weapons tuning and various bug fixes, and you can get the full rundown on the Naughty Dog blog.
