PaRappa the Rappa – a character from a music rhythm game of the same name has been announced as one of the playable characters in the upcoming fighting game, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. In the game, players will assume the role of a character from a popular PlayStation franchise and fight other characters using weapons.

"I'm very happy that PaRappa is making a bit of a comeback, but not so happy about him being in a weapon-filled battle game," Greenblat said.

"Actually, the Battle Royal game is fun, and I have to do what I can to get PaRappa back in the game scene. My hope is that Sony realizes the golden true potential of PaRappa and asks me to design some new games.

"I've learned a lot, and I think PaRappa could be great again."

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will release November 20th in North America, November 21st in Europe, November 22nd in Australia, and November 23rd in the UK.
