Darksiders 2 will be available on the Wii U at launch, November 18th, with five hours of additional content over the current console/PC releases, THQ announced today.

On Wii U, Darksiders 2 will include all the pre-order bonuses from the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game. Yesterday, THQ announced that the game's first downloadable expansion, "Argul's Tomb," will be included on the Wii U disc; it will be available for free to current Darksiders 2 owners in "the next few weeks." According to THQ, the Wii U version's bonuses comprise "around five hours of playable content and new legendary weapons and armor."

Developer Vigil Games is taking advantage of the Wii U GamePad, using it to display the in-game map and current objectives. The touchscreen will also offer quick access to Death's inventory and skills. In addition, the game will include motion controls for dodging attacks, interacting with objects, and steering Death during swimming and riding sequences.
