Gamestation is being re-branded as GAME throughout the United Kingdom.

Gamestation, one of the largest chains of retail games shops in the United Kingdom, is being re-branded as GAME, it was revealed in an announcement made during today's GAME conference, as reported by MCV.

This ends the Game Retail firm's dual-brand, having operated both GAME and Gamestation stores since 2007. Gamestation and GAME were once rivals before the former chain was acquired from Blockbuster. Gamestation forms 122 shops out of GAME Group's 341 stores.

Earlier in the year GAME Group PLC, initial owner of GAME and Gamestation, collapsed before returning as Game Retail Ltd.
