To tide fans over until then, 4J recently released some new videos and images from the "Adventure" update, which adds Creative Mode to the game along with villages, strongholds, abandoned mineshafts, and ravines. We've collected the images for you in the gallery below.
In addition, 4J put up a video showing off the new food types coming in v1.8.2. It looks pretty fun and realistic: you stab a cow, and a slab of beef appears. That's how it works in real life, right? Check out the video below.
Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition launched on Xbox Live Arcade this past May, and had sold 3.6 million copies as of late August.
