Steam Greenlight, the service where users help determine which games will make it onto Steam through a voting system, will "greenlight" 10 new games on October 15th, the service announced today on its blog.
In addition to approving more games, the service will also add improvements based on user feedback. Starting from today, Steam Greenlight will have a dedicated discussion area where users can ask questions, post feedback, and have a conversation with developers about the game. Previously the discussion area was just a section for comments.
Developers will now see a graph that shows their up-vote traffic for the past week and compare it to the average votes of top-ranked games. Developers in the Top 100 ranking will now also see their exact numerical ranking, while those outside of the Top 100 will see their progress towards the Top 100.
Steam Greenlight announced its first 10 approved titles last week. Among them were Black Mesa, Cry of Fear, Dream, Heroes and Generals, Kenshi, McPixel, No More Room in Hell, Project Zomboid, Routine, and Towns.
