European users of the PlayStation Official App for iOS and Android devices can secure an adorable easter egg by scanning the case for the recently released LittleBigPlanet Vita, Sony recently announced.
After downloading an update to the app, users can scan the pack shot of LittleBigPlanet Vita — much like a QR code — to conjure up an augmented reality Sackboy and a virtual playground for him to run through. On top of that minigame, scanning the cover also nets users a LittleBigPlanet Vita trailer, and the chance to participate in a contest to unlock exclusive downloadable content for the game by taking pictures of the AR Sackboy in interesting environments.
LittleBigPlanet Vita launched yesterday in Europe, and officially launches in North America September 25th — though it's also available at GameStop right now. Check out our favorable review for more information on the texturized platformer.
