In the newest Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn teaser, "Lecture," a teacher of UNSC cadets tells his students why they must all contribute to the continued existence of humankind.
The instructor, who reminds us of prolific actor William Fichtner, speaks about the past — when "all of humanity lived on a single planet." He notes that the Insurrectionists, a faction of humans who want to break away from the Earth government, don't want to support a planet they don't live on.
But without the UNSC, says the professor, "Colonies starve; planets die."
All of humanity must support the species, he says, for the good of the trillions of humans spread across the galaxy. "We're all in this together," he concludes.
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, a web series, premieres on October 5th. Halo 4 launches on November 6th; check out our fresh preview coverage of the game, including campaign and multiplayer previews and an interview with franchise director Frank O'Connor.
