Guns of Icarus Online, the steampunk airship dogfighting game from developer Muse Games, launches October 29th, and is currently available to pre-order from Steam.
The title allows players to pilot their own armed-to-the-teeth dirigibles, then invite up to three co-pilots to help manage the different systems on a single ship — weapons, repairs, and so on — as they fend off waves of attackers. The original Guns of Icarus launched in 2010 to tepid critical reception, but Online (which was primarily funded through Kickstarter earlier this year) promises to expand and improve the franchise.
The standard edition of the game can be pre-ordered from Steam for $14.99, a 25 percent discount off the launch price of the title. A collector's edition, which includes the game's soundtrack and an in-game costume, is $24.99, and a four-pack (which allows you to distribute extra copies to your Steam pals) is $34.99, both of which are 24 percent off their launch prices.
