An upcoming Battle.net update will give players the options to appear offline to friends.

A new Battle.net update will give players the option to appear offline to friends, Blizzard announced.

The feature, which will apply to World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2, and Diablo 3, allows players to select the new social status alongside the previous options of Available, Busy, or Away. Players will be listed as offline to Real ID friends, BattleTag friends, and character-level friends.

The option will be added to each game in future updates. Diablo 3 players can expect the feature following the 1.0.5 patch. Blizzard expects to add the feature for World of Warcraft and StarCraft 2 players after the individual releases of their upcoming expansions.
