God of Blades, the upcoming running/sword-fighting game from developer White Whale Games, received a launch trailer celebrating the game's impending release on iOS.

The game, which takes its art direction and fantasy setting from the covers of Dungeons & Dragons books, and its musical influences from 70s rock albums, equips players with a giant sword, magic, and an incredible amount of stamina. With a feature called Loreseeker, players can unlock special weapons at real-world libraries to use in the game's 10 environments.

God of Blades is heading to the iOS App Store this Thursday, September 27th. You can get a dose of the gameplay and the nostalgia that God of Blades is looking to evoke in the video below.
