'Dishonored' animated prequel outlines the magical properties of whale fat
Dishonored's neo-Victorian setting, a coastal city called Dunwall, features steampunk-esque technology powered by an unusual source: Refined whale blubber, the subject of an animated prequel video for the title.
The video, which was created by animation firm Psyop and voiced by Kick-Ass actress Chloe Grace Moretz, tells the sorry tale of Esmond Roseburrow, an inventor who helped turn Dunwall into the mechanical slumland that players will explore in Dishonored. Roseburrow's creations not only changed the city's skyline; they also ushered in a totalitarian dictator, who uses fat-fueled weapons to surpress his enemies and dissenters.
Check out the video below to see Roseburrow's fate unfold, and keep your eyes peeled for the next two videos in the prequel series.
