A mobile game for the Department of Energy is on its way

A group of students from around the U.S. are teaming up to create a mobile game for the U.S. Department of Energy that will encourage recruitment into the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The students, who are located at universities around the country, are involved in a virtual internship to create the app, which presents players with fun and challenging puzzles that involve linking buildings and energy resources. The activities that players have to complete in the game simulate some of the challenges the Department of Energy has to think about in its work.

The game is currently in development for iOS and Android devices and is planned to release in October.
