‘Hammer vs. Evil D. in Soulfire’: the MC Hammer game that almost was

Unseen 64 recently unearthed a cancelled Sega CD project with some serious moves: Hammer vs. Evil D. in Soulfire, a game starring none other than parachute pants rapper MC Hammer.

GTE Entertainment, the same company responsible for titles such as Timelapse, developed the unreleased action game in 1994. It never saw the light of day, but the game is survived by a clip cut from a Sega CES video featured on Grooveraider. For 17 seconds, you can watch Hammer make it smooth by shooting fireballs at walls.
