Warren Spector on why ‘Epic Mickey 2’ goes multi-platform

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two had several reasons to go multi-platform, according to an interview with game designer Warren Spector.

Spector explained to GamingBolt that reasons for going beyond a Wii exclusive are two-fold. "First, we heard from plenty of 360 and PS3 owners, in particular, that they were intrigued by the game and our gameplay ideas, and felt left out," said Spector.

"Second, on the first game, we were trying to reach a broader audience than usual and, at the time, the 'broad audience' existed only on Wii—now, the PS3 and 360, thanks to the passage of time and reduction in prices, are beginning to reach that broader audience, too. Put that all together and going multi-platform was an easy decision to make," said Spector.

Epic Mickey 2 will see a release for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Mac, and PC on November 18th.
