Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen developer Visionary Realms will attempt to continue raising money for the game beyond the impending close of its Kickstarter campaign, the studio announced today.
With a little more than five days to go until the end of the funding drive, which will come at 2:40 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 22, the Kickstarter campaign is only half funded. In 35 days on Kickstarter, Visionary Realms has raised more than $407,000 toward its $800,000 goal for the massively multiplayer online title.
"It's a lot of money in a short period of time," said Brad McQuaid, the studio's chief content officer, in a press release today. "But if the support up until now has been any indication of the passion out there for this idea, I would not at all be surprised to see those numbers rocket up again this week. We've learned that you never know what's going to happen from day to day on a Kickstarter campaign."
Visionary Realms added that once the funding drive concludes on Saturday, the studio "will continue crowdfunding through its own website and explore additional funding opportunities." Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is currently in development on Mac and Windows PC with a launch targeted for January 2017.
