After airing more than 600 episodes since it began in 1989, The Simpsons is trying out something new this January: its first ever hourlong episode.
Fox announced today that the special will air in the new year and focus on Mr. Burns. According to the network, the episode will follow Mr. Burns as he "tries to relive his glory days and crosses paths with a mysterious musical mogul." After a devastating turn of events, Mr. Burns is left bankrupt and he seeks out revenge with the help of Homer and Bart.
The episode will feature a couple of guest actors, including Taraji P. Henson (Empire) and Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), who will voice a rapper named Jazzy James.
Simpsons creator and executive producer Al Jean joked that he hoped it wasn't the last thing people saw "before a Trump inauguration."
The Simpsons' 28th season will premiere Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
