Earlier this year, people briefly panicked at an apparent “leak” of season four episodes — which later simply turned out to be a “See It First” promotion on the Cartoon Network app. This was lost on most of the fanbase, and even some of the staff who worked on the show. Considering this stunt, fans may want to keep their eyes peeled on a variety of platforms for new material this time around.
That aside, it’s going to be an exciting year for Steven Universe fans. This summer, a Steven Universe RPG is expected to hit consoles, with Grumpyface Studios developing. While we still don’t know the exact release date, we do know that it’ll be a sequel to Steven Universe: Attack the Light.
Correction: Cartoon Network has confirmed that May 8 does not mark the beginning of the show’s fifth season. A representative from the network told Polygon they don’t tend to break the show up into explicit seasons “since the programming schedule is a unique one.” This story has been updated to reflect these changes.
