1 replyYeah, I get what you mean. I think it was the port to PC brought in a large, varied amount of players who wanted a challenge. What I meant by ‘specific idea’, I mean like Dark Souls is more than it’s combat. Such a fantastic game in many other areas. When devs go “Yeah, it’s like Dark Souls”, it kind of feels like they’re jumping on the bandwagon or they just don’t really understand.

1 replySo many games over the last 12 months have compared themselves to Dark Souls, you shouldn’t get people’s hopes up like that. It’s a very specific idea.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing some screens.

(Additionally, depending on the restrictions of BC, PS4 owners might be able to digitally download it and play)

No, but honestly it looks interesting. I hope the whole game doesn’t involve conflicting gameplay like “I need to find some time to play with Tommy” – he says whilst blankly staring out a window.
The house location looks heavily inspired by the house from the film “The Ghost Writer”

Recommended (2)I’m glad there’s a focus on non-scripted events because this:
“In the demo shown to Polygon, the player could hack a security camera, which allowed them to see from the camera’s point of view. From this viewpoint, the player could see into a person’s apartment, identify a laptop sitting on the person’s desk, hack into the laptop’s camera, and subsequently “enter” the person’s house to eavesdrop on their conversation."
Sounds like a classic event that will either happen few and far between during the game or something that will become very repetitive. I guess we won’t know until we have our hands on the game and have played through it before we realise how truly ‘unique’ each event is. Also:
“At another point in the demo, Pearce pulled up his phone and started playing an augmented-reality shooter. Once the smartphone game started, the world around Pearce started to populate with neon-colored aliens. A gun formed in Pearce’s hand and he ran around shooting the animations.”
Alright then.
