Good to hear, thanks!
I’ve been a huge fan of racing games since I was a child, and I’m excited about this title… however… there are a few things that concern me about skimming through that video.
1) I don’t love having that blue rail above you at all times, it feels almost claustrophobic. It takes away from the concept of the “open” road. I’d prefer a less-intrusive arrow for directions.
2) Skip to 33:35. You’ll see that you need to get off the current highway, but the method is extremely disappointing. The directional rail actually indicates that you must cut across oncoming traffic on a highway and take the off-ramp in the opposing direction. Personally, this just feels lazy. There should be a proper off-ramp with an overpass or something. For a game that is all about the drive itself, how is this an improvement over picking a random destination on a N4S map and driving there? I’m happy that it’s more ‘arcade’ than ‘simulator,’ but I expected it to be more realistic than this.
Admittedly, this is only a small taste and I don’t know about what other modes are included in this game other than just driving in an open world, but this may help keep my expectations from getting out of control.
