Hopefully the Wii U can hold up until 2015. Nintendo said the Legend of Zelda for Wii U is going to the the First Open World 3D Zelda title.
I totally agree; the 3DS isn’t really that great with the picture, the use of cartridges, and the accessibility. But the reason it is doing way better than the Playstation Vita is the fact that it has a large variety of quality games. I bought a 3DS XL just to get my hands on Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing and Zelda.
I’d say the way Microsoft and Sony advertise their product. If you look at all the launch titles for PS4 and XB1 a majority of them are First Person Shooters, Racing, or Sports games. The commercials I see are action packed and have a handsome male gamer in them. While a Nintendo advertisements are more cartoony and have Kids or a Family in it.
I feel like Nintendo’s approach to consoles has always been more family friendly. It has it’s plus sides and it’s down sides.
Sony and Microsoft’s online features have always been more open. Yeah I know kids play, but Nintendo can honestly work around that with age limitations (Example: muting voice chatting to users under 13 years old). Online experiences should be built around talking to other gamers and making friends. Miiverse is great for gaming News but I never bothered to talk to anybody on it. The only people I see using Miiverse are children. Sony and Microsoft have partnered with Twitter and Facebook to get content around. Achievements and a ranking system would be nice too because there aren’t limitations and Kids can participate too.
Nintendo’s Hardware is really great. They really integrate the Wii U gamepad, motion control, and other small things well into their games. Sony and Microsoft flop when it comes to that, you hear nothing about the Kinect or the Playstation move anymore because they NEVER made games for them. Street pass actually makes me bring my 3DS out in public because it adds extensive gameplay to great games.
Nintendo’s games are the best. They attract to all kinds of audiences, my Wii U is the only console I use when I have family and friends over. Nobody is left out. I see more girls getting into gaming because Nintendo targets games to both genders. Microsoft and Sony literally target everything to adult males. Nintendo doesn’t have premium accounts such as Xbox live or Playstation plus so it’s affordable for a lot of people.
Long Story Short: Nintendo has great Hardware and games, but they have no clue how to connect the two and build upon that to create a community.
The title made me think it was gonna be made by women or something.
The only thing I am wondering is how a prize system would be set up for beating somebodies gym. Earning TMs and money in regular gym battles is kind of boring to me, I hope we can earn furniture, special items, or at least Pokemon (Something like the Friend Safari? Just a thought).
My family was broke for a while, all my friends had Gameboy advances and all I had was a big clunky Gameboy with Pokemon Red. I never really cared because it was so much fun, eventually I got a Gameboy SP. I have had every Nintendo Handheld since and they feel so timeless to me because the quality of the games are so good.
Snowpiercer and Bioshock both show the Societal changes and how it effects different kinds of people in a dystopian world. But all Bioshock games tie in True historical events or themes that gives it an interesting storyline. Racism does not blind the storyline in Bioshock: Infinite, it merely adds to the atmosphere of the game. Infinite remarkably connected me to the characters; Elisabeth was a very down to earth character that I loved playing through the game with and even Lord Comstock had a significant amount of connection to the protagonist. Bioshock had a much more complex storyline with the addition of infinite Universes that made the game much more enjoyable to me.
Snowpiercer has the same themes of Class, religion, youth, and rebellion that Bioshock has. But there are many many more dystopian games and movies that could have easily made a connection with Snowpiercer.
iTunes has these really great soundtracks called Pokémon Reorchestrated. They are so great, Pokémon tunes sound like 1000% better with an Orchestra. It’s some of the classiest and intense music I have ever listened to. They are iconic songs and you don’t even have to be a Pokémon fan to enjoy it. Hopefully they come into Texas because I missed Zelda when it came.
IV training has always looked so boring to me, I am not much of a Pokemon battler. I am more of a Pokemon Collector myself and I search and breed for Shiny Pokemon. When you show your friends your Pokemon they don’t care for stats at all and shiny Pokemon somehow always amaze them because they are so rare.
