Hopefully we find out tomorrow. This is probably my biggest question on next gen X.

3 repliesHey SEGA, let Nintendo make a Sonic game. I want to see a Capcom vs. SNK / SNK vs. Capcom type deal go down.

Honestly, I wouldn’t think there are many. I’m an owner (Cynntendo if anyone wants to friend up) but out of ten friends I game with on multiple platforms only one other has a Wii U. I understand the economics of porting. The only reason the Wii got any ports last gen was due to it’s massive install base. Even then most were half assed or totally different games from the HD versions.
I guess my bigger point was just this being the last shot to port in a technical sense. There’s no way the Wii U will run even launch Xbox and PS4 software so this could be the last window for most developers to launch anything affordably on the Wii U.
From this point on barring a sales revolution, Nintendo will be one of the sole attractions on the Wii U. (I hope I’m wrong though)

It’s becoming obvious at a rapid rate that you aren’t versed in this subject well enough to engage debate. This is the part where you accept differing opinions and move on.

I’m a huge fan of the Wii U GamePad. It’s one of the reasons I favor using netflix on the Wii U and it’s a pretty handy tool for web browsing in a pinch. I’d love to see some PC uses for it too.

Or not. Ouya does not support the Google Play Store. If Google Play Games services are tied to store purchases then this could actually hurt Ouya a great deal.

I also liked Lo Wang more than Duke. He was MUCH more crude than Duke though. Imagine that kids of today.

Nintendo has a console that’s main selling feature is a “Tablet” controller. The mobile gaming industry is booming. Why on Earth would Nintendo NOT tap the mobile space? It’s not desperate, it’s just good business. Imagine the piles of money a Pokemon themed Angry Birds would make. Games like Clash of Clans, Dead Trigger, PunchQuest, Arcane Legends, Great Big War Game, Rad Soldiers and others would be brilliant on the Wii U.
Adding more gaming options is good not bad folks.

Hooray for Dredd getting an award! It ain’t an Oscar, but anything is better than the way it usually gets treated.

You are right GhastlysGhost, especially when it comes to Sony. They led the charge with BC to the point that you were supposed to feel like every PS branded game you buy had a place in your future collection. Reality put a kink into that plan with the PS3. Technically though, Sony does have that plan still in mind by using Gaikai to stream PlayStation games to all Sony consoles. There’s a lot of issues with the technology (latency especially) but the concept of BC in some form is still on their plate.

Recommended (1)A broken rebuttal. I think you’ve missed the plot fella. First of all, PC has nothing to do with this. Windows dominates Mac and Linux with games due to the number of users, not the hardware. 9% of the market is usually not enough to invest in.
PS4 and Durango both using x86 means that developers can cost effectively port across both platforms very easily. There will no longer be the hassle and cost of getting proper performance from Cell in a port. That means that more developers will port across all platforms and those ports will be identical. That also means exclusive games and services will be how Sony and MS woo customers.
In one year not a soul will care about BC just as last gen. Did the PS3 fail because it phased out BC? Nope.
