I went over the site with a few of the devices in the image below to see how it performed. Nexus 7 with Chrome was actually pretty poor, Blackberry 7 was terrible with checker boarding all over the place on sliding out the sidebar. Windows phone 8 straight up didn’t work. There are some more issues, but I think performance wise it isn’t great

Seems very janky on older mobile browsers, slide in feature non functional on other mobile browsers. It seems like there is a lot going here, with lots of offload to the GPU leading to slow paint times. The CPU also seems to be struggling on older devices with the JS, it hogs the compute time, seeing some very poor performance.

Curious as to what sort of performance tests did you guys run on the site before going live? Also, what approach on UX did you take for when the second column appears, was it specifically designed to come in at ipad resolutions?
