Wonder if it will be available in button or menu item form. I can’t imagine that I’d have ever used FRAPs if I had to say any voice command to get it to grab a clip, a quick item on the guide menu or something or a button combo would be preferred (steam lets you hit the guide button PLUS a custom button of your choosing, like a d-pad direction, to take a screenshot, that would be ideal for footage capture also I think)

Or better yet “Yo X, Cap’ Dat!”

Maybe doesn’t ‘last as long’… but I have games like skyrim and minecraft to spend my lonely times with. When I want to actually partake in good video gaming I look to ALL types of games because they all are super rad. The heart of what Double Fine does is in all their ‘indie’ games, just as it is in Brutal Legend. Just with these recent games the heart is a lot more apparent and near the surface, and doesn’t have kinda boring RPG elements over top it ;)

The double fine adventure is going to probably disappoint a lot of people that don’t understand the 3mil+ is really only going to get them a handful of hours for their point/click game (6-8 hours). There’s a LOT more to games than what peeps think.

This thing looks delightful, it also looks very boring. I shouldn’t comment though since I don’t play mobile games, all of them look exactly like this one to be (super basic mechanics usually revolving around collecting items infinitely)

Recommended (1)I’m not playing SimCity not because it was slightly lame at launch, I’m not playing because the game isn’t that fun… not fun is not a launch issue, I think EA has said the issues were launch related like 5 times now publicly? Shut the fuck up. They are also saying that the next sims will be offline or whatever, like anyone who cared about how shitty simcity was cares about the sims, frankly the Sime SHOULD be online… it’s the dang Sims. The people doing public relations for EA are not doing a good job.

Recommended (1)That sounds pretty good, I mean most of the time when I experience some bad or not enjoyable form of entertainment I don’t feel anything, other than maybe a slightly higher desire to find some better content soon. Feeling something like that means it had an effect on you, and that’s kinda rad I think. I felt something as well when completing the Act, because of it’s sudden drop after kinda allowing you to fall into a trance it was in fact similar to waking suddenly from a dream and being a bit frantic because you’re acclimating to your consciousness again.

Recommended (1)Why is it news that they are going to support the game? I had my fun playing up till the point where it became a very unfun game (about 4-5 hours? give/take) and I’ll wait… I guess I’ll wait to play more SimCity when they release SimCity 2 by the looks of things. I thought revamped traffic rules would get me interested but the way they fixed that stuff seemed very lack luster, and still makes the game feel like a shell of what was easily invisioned from the pre-release materials.

1 replyThey’ve been aiming to be a set top box since the first xbox.. this is the direction they’ve been on since then and it is still happening now. So while the look may have been ‘of it’s time, and sometimes gawdy’ now the look is falling into their aim for xbox as a whole instead of it conflicting with it. So it’s kinda not a new direction, just an alignment with what they’ve been trying to do since the start, it now looks more like what they wanted it to BE since the Xbox.
