I’ve started playing this again thanks to you lot! My first go around I played it legit until about 2/3 of the way through when my bro showed me the dragon head souls glitch – I pretty much ruined the rest of the game for myself doing that, but I was struggling who could blame me.
Rolled a new toon rather than going NG+ to see if I could recreate the joy of dread, and yep, this game still makes me shit bricks at every turn. Two things I never really noticed or used the first time around – backstabbing for massive damage and reversing Hollowing in order to summon phantoms (a huge help on some of the bosses).
I’ve tried to get the hang of parry/riposte but I’m always way too early pressing RT :(
Managed to ring the first bell without too much problem, have levelled up some of my gear at Andrei to like +3 and my SL is about 17, mainly END so I can block a lot while trying to spin around behind the enemies. Now if only I could remember where to go next – I love that there are so many ways you can go but one wrong step and there’s always something ready to aggro you.
